Founded in 1982, the firm initially focused on providing a wide range of legal services to municipalities and banks, and more specialized services in the area of maritime law. Over the years, as demand for expertise in this highly complex area of the law grew, the firm turned its attention to developing its maritime, marine insurance and torts business. Among the firm's clients are insurance companies in Israel and reinsurers, primarily located in Europe. In practical terms, the firm has been acting as a claims department for marine insurers in respect of small vessel claims since 1987, focusing on third party claims, insured's claims and subrogation claims. One of the firm's principal clients is Menorah-Mivtachim, Insurance Co. Ltd. – which insures most of the small vessels in Israel.
